Ridotto R is a sensational filly who just explodes into action. She has a deliberate regular walk and a trot so powerful that “explode” is the only way to describe it! The canter is pronounced, round and seriously up-in-front. Ridotto R has a very powerful physique, displaying great aesthetic balance topped off with a stunning neck rising high out of her shoulders, and an exquisite head.
Ridotto R is a full sister to Ribena R, retained by Ryans as a broodmare and dam of Julio R, also in this catalogue. Ridotto R is by Regardez Moi, reigning Australian Grand Prix Champion 2008-09 and likely to be a part of the Australian Grand Prix WEG dressage team in the USA later this year. Ridotto’s dam Shakira is by Salute, also the sire of Victory Salute who with Brett Parbery is also a contender for the team. Salute has produced international three-day eventers and World Cup showjumpers as well as Grand Prix dressage horses. This is possibly Shakira’s best foal to date! On the bottom line, Lucilla is a full sister to Stirling Liberty (ridden by Olympican Gavin Chester), World Cup showjumper as a 7yo, and sire of top GP dressage horse Snowy River Blackwood (Di Jenkyn).
